The Additional Chief Secretary, Home and IPRD, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Awanish Kumar Awasthi addressed a press conference on Thursday. He said that Corona warriors are doing the best possible to combat virus outbreak. Twenty two cases have been reported so far in Uttar Pradesh and eleven of them recovered. Eight Labs are working for the said purpose. Principal Secretary, Rural Development has issued the guidelines regarding use of MLA funds in combating coronavirus outbreak. More than 18750 ration vans are deployed, one lakh food packets and seven lakh litres milk have been distributed. We are trying to feed every poor and needy in this situation. Public Address System has been installed in government vehicles for necessary announcements.
He further said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials to take care of the labourers reaching borders of their respective districts. Hoarding of daily essentials is strictly prohibited. Chief Minister has expressed his gratitude towards sanitation workers, policemen and other such corona warriors. People are advised to stay at home. We are trying to aware gram pradhans through CM helpline. Strict action has been taken against those violating lockdown guidelines. Media is also very supportive.The District Magistrates and Police officials were instructed for joint patrolling.
“A committee has been constituted under Principal Secretary Finance to evaluate the loss of wheat and potatoe farmers.”, said ACS Awanish Kumar Awasthi.
