The Centre is getting ready to deal with intricate administrative matters in J&K with its newly attained status of Union territory after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A from the state. The government plans to appoint LGs in J&K and Ladakh on October 31 that is birthday of first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was instrumental in bringing these states to India. The government will enact other administrative changes in these UTs.
The primary concern of the government has been to provide good governance and for that the government is working on the names of All India Service officers to be deployed there. With J&K turning into a UT administration including the police will be with the Centre. So it is being said that names of the IAS officers to be posted in J&K have been decided by Nripendra Mishra while call on IPS officers will be taken by Ajit Dobhal obviously with the consultation of Union Home minister Amit Shah.
Administrative control in J&K will help establish peace in the state which as per government claims is peaceful after the special status was repealed from there. Taking administration into its hands has been key to turn J&K into UTs. The government is also working to de-radicalize the region.
